It sounds like it is either getting too much air or not enough gas or both. You seem on the right track. What does it idle at? Does pulling spark plugs or spraying starting fluid on the outside of the motor change the idle?
Hi. It wont idle on it's own. Soon as I let off the gas it dies right out. You are absolutely right. It does seem like no gas. That's why I replaced the pump and filter. I haven't checked plugs yet. It died out right in the intersection after sitting at a stop light. Had to two foot it home. Stopped at the gas station and put gas in it after it t died... thinking it ran out of gas fuel to a faulty gauge reading. Still was the same.It sounds like it is either getting too much air or not enough gas or both. You seem on the right track. What does it idle at? Il check that and get back to you. Thanks.Mine was running like that last year. Turned out to be the distributor got loose and moved slightly.
