Neons...? Or other lighting.

bright enough to see at sun down, but you might get away with using it as accent lighting. buy one and try it out, if ya like it buy more and if not get something else.

Neons have their place... in the ricer world :puke:

I have neon in my interior. Rice or not, I like having it. It's part of my car's personality. Honestly my car basically is a ricer's car. Slow, loud exhaust, cheap hack-job mods, bad flat paint, missing some insulation here and there, spray canned hood, etc. It's like a Honda Civic in a Buick Regal's body. It's the personal preference that counts though. If you like it then you like it and you might not know until you see it. Just don't decide not to do it because someone doesn't like it. That's like asking someone else whether you should drink Coke or Pepsi.

Like I said I like my interior neon but the color it lets off is a bit pale. LEDs let off more of a full, vibrant color in my opinion.

That's how I feel too. I mean I would really consider my car a ricer, but I do think neons look neat. This thread wasn't really to ask people if they liked them or not, it was for tips and tricks and what to get. But I would want to see one in person with neons. My dad had them on his TA until they broke, so I'll agree with the post's that say go with LED's.

i have red LED underglow and red LEDs in my headlights and interior. i think it looks badass but JMO

be careful with driving with them on, i know out here where i live you can get a ticket for them. the ticket might be like$25-$75 but then court fees out here are $160+!

Looks damn good to me. I didn't see any rice in the pics. Lmfao.

what i think would be kerl is if ya found a way to make the lights get brighter as you rev the engine. like at idle you dont see the lights but when ya get to ~5k rps its all the way lit, flickering randomly as it does that. ooOOOoo, scary!

You were just warning him about getting tickets and now you're telling him to turn his car into a rolling seizure hazard! 😛
That is a cool idea though with the fader. Maybe you could hook up some sort of rheostat to the gas pedal somewhere (in a safe manner that won't hang up the throttle of course... actually forget I said that.. lol). If your car has a center console and you don't use the ash tray then that's a cool place to put any switches you might use. The switch I use is just a basic one with an LED for the on position (found at any AutoZone) but people I know have used some pretty neat "touch screen" style switches. They don't stand out too much so they'd be easy to incorporate somewhere into the dash or something but they are a bit "touchy." As in: not the most reliable. No pun intended.

oh well that actually sounds better than i was thinking. your idea reminds me of the old tyco rc slot car trigger thingys like this:

now if theres a way to connect the trigger to the throttle arm, and then hook up the wiring in series, that would be kewl. ya know what, forget what i just said, imma do it foist!
