I don't have any pictures of my Nova's but my first car was a 72' SS gold with black interior and later I bought a 71' Rallye and a 74' hatchback.
He are a couple pics of my buddy's 69' SS mocking up the front end.

Thanks Geezer! You sound like me....I’ve had a lot of cars through the years, and several Novas. Your buddy’s car looks fantastic and is right up my alley. Our cars are real similar.

Thanks. It was a clean car. I saw it at Fall Carlisle and bought it almost a year later. Redid the sub frame and changed some stuff on the motor a month after I bought it. The car was owned by a guy that was the bodyshop manager at a Chevy dealer. He put new GM quarters and front fenders on it. Brand new NOS bumpers. Lots of new trim. Another car I regret selling. LOL
I know what ya mean Mikester. There are a few that I’d love to have back. This is what I drove around on the street in the late 70’s. It’s the first car that I ever built the way I wanted it. Started as a plain factory black Nova, 350, factory 3 speed floor shift. Ended up as it is in the picture, ... clone SS, LS7 454, Muncie 4 speed, 12 bolt w/ a 456 gear, Cragar Super Tricks and Firestone 500 slicks. Drove it a lot, and still like pretty much the same kind of stuff today. That car would up somewhere in Canada, last I heard.

This is my 70.

It is my inheritance from my father. He started building it to be eighth mile street class car. It has a 700 horsepower roller 427 in it. I am hoping to get back to this car this fall. It has been a money pit for me for many years. I got tired of putting money into it and put it away when I built my black Monte

Your friend won’t regret investing in Dan Lemon’s headers. I put some on a 69 Chevelle that I built a few years ago, tall deck raised runner big block. Fit so nice. Well worth the money.

His old set was also made by lemons but he was limited on size because of the factory steering so Dan recommended the rack and pinion for more room.
In my Monte I have set of Dan's early Gbody headers 2-1/4" stepped to 2-3/8" with a 4-1/2" collector back when there was only one tube over the frame rail they are probably 20 years old now, I also made a 4-1/2" exhaust and then made 4" tailpipes over the axle.
