Thanks, means a lot to hear a few positive comments for all my troubles.
The electric hood really is fun to freak people out with, especially at stoplights. I guess it really is different, because I haven't been able to find any info to help me perfect it. It really is a difficult design to make work with that degree of motion in the space constraint of under the hood area.I think more spring assistance will help it work smoother & faster, but the full up position is not at the end of the travel, meaning my spring assistance needs to be bi-directional, such as a commercial door that opens each way & returns to center. any known items won't work , which means I have to hand make & design every part of the system.
Time to work on it has been a real problem this past year also, trying to get improvements done for a new video next month. The bugcatcher intake is almost polished.......

Joe,
Keep thinking outside of the box!! It makes the rest of us think about what you've done (whether we like it or not) and thinking is good for planning.
