Well you accomplished your goal it looks like it should. 8) Back before everybody had a dual exhaust cross member for sale I home made my own as well. I guess you could say in broke red neck fashion as I just put the car up on lifts and heated & beat it into shape while on the car. Took a torch an 8 pound shorty sledge & about 15 minutes. Lil black spray paint & it now looks factory. Don't know if it will eventually crack or anything but its been a couple years and was still fine last fall when I sold the car.
Yea you go to hooking up with some slicks or drag radials & that big block torque is going to put a hurting on that 7.5. With a 1 to 1 final drive ratio & the 3.73s you might like 275/60/15s on the back both for gearing and better traction. I have had great luck with the Nitto drag radials for use on the street as they can handle a little rain & don't wear out as quick as some of the others. The M&Hs were good also but more pricey. I had my 509 headers coated inside and out on my 442 & my exhaust manifolds crossover and downpipe on my GN. I don't know if it was worth any power but its keeps em from rusting & made a very noticeable difference in underhood heat. You can see the cars by clicking my photos link button.
