Whats up everybody? i'm new to the board. From North East TN (johnson city area). Look forward to meeting everyone, and maybe picking up some tips, and possibly get pointed in the right direction as far as finding a new header clip, and some other misc. exterior body pieces. Also, does anyone know which rear end was in the 81 cutlass with the 350 diesel motor? i'm having problems finding it on the internet. Thanks in advance!

Your car will have a 7.5" rear. The gear ratio depends on how the car was ordered.
It's probably a good idea to flush the fluid in the rear axle anyways, so while the cover's off you can count the teeth, or the numbers should be stamped on the ring gear too.
There will be two numbers like 41:14. 41 divided by 14 is 2.93. That's just an example, but that's how easy it is.
