Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased a 1987 Regal that I am in the process of restoring/modifying.

It's a V6 car with a TH350 trans and from what i can tell an open diff with 2.41 gears.

I have an 87,00 mile 2006 LQ4 6.0 and 4L80E currently in a wrecked van that I bought which will get removed and installed into the Regal.

Right now the car's body is disassembled and at the body shop for stripping, some minor straightening and painting. Since it's been a Central Florida car it's whole life the only rust issues the car has are at the Hem Flanges on the bottom of the doors.

I worked at a Buick dealer in 1986-87 when I was in high school and always wanted a t-type or grand national. However since I currently work in the LS Engine swap industry, I decided not to desecrate a real T or a GN with a swap and just build a good looking Regal with a dead reliable 400 RWHP LS power train.

I may take it to the track, but I'm not looking to build a race car or a pro-tour car. This is my personal car and my vision for the car is to drive it on the street regularly once it's done.

Thanks for reading this far.

Ken

Welcome aboard that is a clean Regal! Should be a sh*t ton of fun with an LQ4!

That's a good looking Regal. It should be a nice reliable, driving machine with LS power.
