Ok so I guess I should formally introduce my self. Should have done this two days ago. I'm Paul Michael and I've been an Oldsmobile lover from a young age. I'm 29 now and have the start up to one of my dream Olds. A G-body Cutlass. . . I had one for my first car back in highschool. It was a maroon Cutlass Brougham with matching plush interior. I did to many one leggers in it and blew up the trans. So my mother sold it to some kid for $1. Any who its been a dream to stuff a G-body with a big block 455. It just so happens that in my early 20s I decided to become a mechanic. I currently work for Toyota but spent a majority of my time as a Honda tech in dealerships. I'm not the type to deck out a Honda either, they are just reliable and are easy to work on. So now it just so happens I've come a cross a 82 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme that some one put a 455 in. So I scoped it up in trade for a tool cart and some cash. It needs alot of tender loving care. I've got a good amount of knowledge now but not much experience with the older carbureted cars. I just need some direction on what and where to take my mild build, someday street/strip cruiser to. I've build a 383 striker a few years back but had my buddy with a dyno do the carb and the tuning and breakin. It was a sweet little motor put 420hp and 440tq to the flywheel. Aluminum vortec heads 215runner, 350 4bolt main .30over, eagle rotating asym can't recall the cam, I think it was a comp cams 4x4 1.7 roller rockers, Edelbrock airgap profomer with 1inch carb spacer and a edelbrock 650 carb. Sold it befor I put it in my K5. :/ divorce does stuff like that. Any way I got some experience but more wisdom and advise is always welcome. Thanks for reading and hopefully see you around the forum.
