Hi all,

I'm from Wisconsin. I recently purchased a 1984 Pontiac Grand Prix. My first car was a 1984 GP, and I've missed it ever since I sold it. I broke the frame on it hitting a pot hole, and didn't feel safe fixing it, so I sold it broken. Now, I found this one, and I have the bug to get this one going. It's all hacked up from the previous owner. The previous owner, OK moron, removed the 305 and installed a V6. I don't say he's a moron because of removing the 305, or because he put a V6 in it, but he welded the motor mounts to the crossmember, chopped up the wiring harness, and overall did a crappy job.

I intend to remove the 4.3L, and put a Chevy V8 of some sort in it, as soon as I can find a decent runner. I also plan to make this car a duplicate of my first. This car has all the options that I wished I had in my old car. The only thing missing is a factory tach. I don't even know if there was such a thing in 1984 GP's, but that is the only option I would have liked this car to have. Otherwise, it's all I wanted.

The car needs alot of little stuff, as well as a couple of bigger things. I found this site searching for parts for the car, and thought I'd check it out.

Tom
