I have been a lurker for a while. I have an 80 Malibu that I am in the middle of a 5.3L Vortec/4L60E swap. I bought a 10 mile transit damaged takeout from an 07 Tahoe. the engine & trans are in and I am working out the rest of the details.
The car has 56K on the clock and is a clean rust free Georgia car that I bought 2 years ago. I did the interior first,(All stock bench seat) then wheels and tires (70 Chevelle SS rallys in 15") now the engine swap. I will post more details as I go but I cannot believe how easy the swap is going.
Are a lot of members going LS/Vortec? I would like to compare notes.
I will be selling some of my old stuff that I am not using. I will be putting a list together and posting as well
