isn't that just like a new guy, to start off by asking for help? anyway, hello from the new guy in rockford, il. this site seems like the right place for me since i've been into Gbody malibu's since the early 90's. i'm not very well funded, but i'm doing the best i can with what i have, as well as moving along slowly. i'm also not very "forum" experienced, so bear with me as i learn how to do this. i'm finishing up a frame-off restoration on an 1981 malibu. 350cid, 350thm, 8.5 inch 3.42 bgn rear, polyurethane mounts and bushings. i'm ready for headers and exhaust. i'd like to stay with the factory column shifter for now, and i'd like to know if anyone out there has been able to use headers and 2-1/2 inch exhaust and still been able to keep the factory column shifter linkage intact. if so, i'd like to know what headers you used, and any other good information before i just go about this on my own. thanks for any help
