Thanks for the add, my Pops gave me his 1979 4 speed Malibu wagon. Loved it since I was a kid (I'm 41 now). Its in great shape, needs some TLC but with some time and help, hope to turn heads LOL!

Welcome to the site, Brad.
It's good to see another wagon guy come aboard. Could you tell us about your wagon...your plans for it, etc. Maybe post a pic or two of it.

My Dad bought used probably around '90 and had it ever since. He's always been a wagon guy. He has 2 '56 Chevy wagons. He wanted to downsize and I know he loved the Malibu and didn't want it to go to a bad home lol!

It has a 267 in it and I may bump up to 350 maybe. It really needs some TLC, few surface rusts spots and new clutch. 3rd gear is shot. I plan on keeping it probably mostly original and drive it from time to time. No trailer queen but not a daily driver either.

It looks good, man. Looks like the body is pretty straight and all there. Down the road when you're looking to upgrade the engine, you might consider a T-5 5-spd for it. The fact that's it's already a manual shift car, no converting pedals, steering column, etc.
