thanks for the kind words guys. It's a real compliment coming from a forum full of such nice rides.

tc1959- I dig the red. Is the front bumper off something else? Looks good. I've been wanting to ditch my version with the rubber trim for an all chrome one for a couple of years..

84elko- Very nice ride, man. I'm envious of your setup, Hotchkis is top-shelf stuff. I wish I could pull the trigger on the TVS, but just currently not in the cards.

To keep the budget down, I Ordered Edelbrock IAS shocks and MOOG springs for front and rear. Spoke to my 'suspension guy' today, and will drop off the elky in a couple weeks for the springs/shocks and have the frontend inspected / freshened up as needed. (Steering / handling has gotten very sloppy as-of-late, so expect there to be some issues). If that bill isn't bad, I'll order up the hotchkis airbag kit right away. Or I may have to wait. I rarely use it as a truck, so I'm sure I'll be fine without them for awhile.

Thanks again!
what part of cali u in..i have the same front bumper tc has it jus needs to be rechromed cuz i painted it black.. im in az but i go back to cali sometime..

One pic with the rally's, other w/ the torque thrsts (my other toy is also a chevy, so I can swap around rims when I'm board).

Nice ride!! I'm curious to know what this other toy may be...

thanks for the offer kuruption109. I'm in central california, bout 20 minutes from san luis obispo. But a new one is so cheap now a days, I'd be money ahead to order one up.
Here's my other ride. This is where most of the fun money goes and why the el camino isn't further along.

Nice El Camino. I really like the look of yours. looks nice what size tire and wheels , Backspacing?
I have had mine for a long time also ,never found anything else I wanted.

Swap meet score, the rally's are 15x8's all around, with bfg 235-60-15 all around. Don't remember the backspacing. Stock chevelle center caps with wheel vintiues stainless steel trim rings. About 6 coats of crylon flat-black.

they rubbed pretty good up front when turning, Fixed that with the dremmel tool and a cut off wheel. They were intended for the chevelle, but they look so damn good on the elky I can't bring myself to switch back. I don't have a picture, but I had black rally stripes painted on the hood, and I think the combo provides a classic look. The entire body also has a hint of blue pearl to flow with the blue interior....
I'll probably end up buying another set to put back on the chevelle as I'm not really in love with the torque thrusts anymore (ran em' for 5 years, had my fun with them) And with the torque thrusts wrapped with 235-45-17, the ride was crap. The 15's with big tires make for a cushier ride for sure. Guess I'm just getting older.

....If you're looking for rally's, call wheel vintiques 559-251-6957 and they'll hook you up with the right sizing. They are way cool people and don't mind, and they really know their stuff. You can also buy the wheels, caps, rings from them (jegs and summit both carry wheel vintique product also, so check pricing).
Or do like I did and score cheap wheels with the right lug pattern, paint 'em, buy new caps and rings, and make them fit!
