I reused my plug. I soaked it in kerosene or paint thinner. But DO NOT use lacquer thinner.. lacquer thinner will eat the plastic. I let the plug soak for a couple days.. checking on it periodically. I used Q-tips,paper clips, tobacco pipe cleaners though those didnt really work so well.I tried to find a replacement plug online but could not track one down. I did find some of the interior fuse block parts but nothing for the engine compartment side.

Also , as best as you can make a diagram of each side of your plug and the location/color of each wire going into your plug. that way when you go to rebuild it you will know where each wire goes. Also take note of the different widths and thicknesses of the split tab connectors. The 12 gauge connectors use two different sizes. I believe the 14/16 gauge wires use the same size split tab connector. As far as removing the connectors once you clean up the tar mess i used needle nose pliers and squeezed them together and with a little push they should slide out with relative ease.

today i heard that i can get this plug here in israel.

if its true i will check that in next friday, someone want a piece?
