Hello all,

Was recently given a '79 Buick Regal that was parked (in a heated, dry garage thankfully) by the previous owner since 2000. Purchased new by him in 1979 locally in Mount Vernon, NY and maintained by my uncle since new. When he passed, he left it to my uncle who gave it to me, knowing I've wanted an older GM for a while. Car is in great shape, but of course, needs some tweaking here and there and a couple of minor fixes. Joined up to learn more about my car and how to fix some of the minor issues with it. Glad to be here and looking forward to learning a lot. Been lurking for a bit before signing up; looks like the place to be.

Great looking car! Welcome to the site from Houston.

Welcome Parkway, you're a One lucky dude! When I was a young'in I also received a automobile from my Grand Dad. A 1949 (too many doors) 4 door, Studebaker. I sold it & got a 55 Chevy two door with a toasted engine. One of my good buddies calls 4 door cars, "a dirty four letter word" So see how lucky you are, two doors! Enjoy, Ol'e Bob.

Thanks everyone. I'm looking to keep it mostly stock, at least for now. Plenty of stuff to keep me busy for now though.
