New Hood Is On !!!

Got my 2 inch Goodmark steel cowl induction hood installed on the weekend.Its painted black,I'm thinking of painting the car black in a few years time,and I wanted to see how it looked;




I'm really liking the new hood,the Monte should look good with a nice shiny black paint job.
I'm thinking about a red pinstripe down the side,and red SS decals on the rear quarter,nothing else.
And maybe a bit of tint on the glass...

I really dislike most cowl hoods but if I had a 85 SS w/ clearance issues I would totally rock that goodmark in black it looks very nice/tasteful. It really does look like an 'upgrade' whereas a lot of cowl hoods I've seen around here look trashy

Looks awesome! How much fitment do you have between the air cleaner and the hood? I have the same hood and im swapping in a big block with an air gap. Hoping it fits.

I didnt measure the clearance,but there should be lots of room for a 4 inch air filter.With the stock hood,my 2 13/16 K&N air filter and drop base cleaner assembly would just barely touch the hood at the front of the air cleaner,now theres 2 + more inches of room to play with.
