had to get rid of the factory style hinge because of my wheel tubs so i came up with this to hold the hood up

Wow....... very well done!! I've been racking my brans trying to do this to mine as well, using the stock hinges.

What throws me off is what size to get, and where would the mounting location be. Can you tell me your lift support size and how many lbs of lift each one provides. How well does it work?

Well done i like that . Does it close easier then the old spring hinges ? any problem poping the hood open ? Could u post more pics up like mounting locations and such .

it hold the hood up just like factory and it has the same spring rate as the factory springs do. so as far as closing and opening the hood there is no change. Ive got enough parts to make several more kits. all you need at home is a drill and a 1/4 drill bit to drill three hole on each side to screw the mounts to. takes about 30 min to install and it all really quite simple. these kits will be 46.99 each plus shipping.

91hrdbdy can you tell me the length of the supports?

Blake442 there seems to be no gbody buicks in the boneyard here... gonna try another one out of town... would you or anyone know the stock hood support length used in these cars?
