It was parked for the last 8 yrs.I cranked it last week and I am hooked again. It doesn't look too bad, just bought new Monte Carlo ss wheels and 1.5 lowering springs and tons of new parts.20 yrs ago I did a so so paint job,put bucket seats and console in and new 305 motor.I going to redo it one more time.

Welcome to the forum. Let's see that Monte Carlo. Post some pics!

Welcome to both from a fellow 3rd gen owner!

Have had my 79 Monte Carlo since 1984 and last seen the road in 2008.
Recently purchased a 13,000 mile 79 Monte Carlo to replace it. Damn New York winters took their toll.
Hope you both post some pic's soon.

Welcome both of you from Iowa. I am a 3rd generation Monte man too. I currently have three my self. A 79, 80 parts car, and a 80 turbo. If you have any questions, hit me up I have had a lot of these cars. I might be able to help.

Nothing wrong with a good flip phone... I finally gave in and got my first ever "smart phone" about 2 years back, an s5 galaxy because work required it. If not for that i'd still be right there with ya!
