Alright fella's. After 18 years of sitting I'm getting back to work on my 78 Cutlass. I was my first car and built almost 20 years ago. Lol. I think it's been trailered around more then driven.
I built it with a 355 SBC with a B&M under the hood blower, TH350, BG 400 fuel system, MSD, and Multistep, 3" exhaust from headers back, pulled all the interior out so I could put a cage in it racing buckets, full set of Auto Meter Gauges, 7.5" rear with 373's, etc.
I had taken the motor out after blowing a head gasket and it never went back together. All the internal parts were ruined after a hurricane ripped the roof of my friends engine shop.
Finally I'm going to rebuild. I have a mild 406 being built. 10:6 to 1 pistons, forged crank, h beam rods, comp cams XE274H cam, and a Mean Street FiTech. Hopefully I'll go to 200R4 trans, and a 9" rear.
After years of sitting I need to find a good donor car around NC. I need a trunk lid, full interior, and a few pieces of Stainless fender trim. If anyone could help out I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Tim

Welcome to the forum from KY. You've definitely joined the right place...tons of cool rides, guys, and knowledge floating around! Looks like a nice Cutlass to finish up.

Maybe consider starting a build thread for everyone to follow along, and share plenty of pics, we all love them!!!

Thanks Man. It'll take a while to finish but I'd glad to share the build. Before it was more street and strip. Now I just wanna cruise. I'm thinking more of a protouring style.

Welcome aboard, Tim,
I hope the site provides you with pertinent information, motivation, advice, and camaraderie.
Doing a build thread would be cool, too.

Welcome to the site from Houston. Cool project! Check out the parts for sale section and consider starting a thread in the 'Wanted' section for stuff you are looking for. There are always cars being parted out and there are some great guys on here that sell parts. Let us know how we can help. That's what this place is all about.

Look what just came in.
Greetings from dirty Jersey. Is that car a 442?

No. I just wanted it 2 tone. The top color doesn't go over the roof. It stops at the body line at the top of the quarter glass. Lol. Led more power then a 442 though.

Welcome to the site! Good looking Cutlass!

I have the left and right lower trim pieces for in front of the tires. They aren't perfect but would be better than none...

I'm recovering from a recent surgery but am still hoping to bring this 79 home, that would very likely be a part out.

I also found a 78 in a wrecker on my last parts run out of town...hoping to get back to get some more parts from it and a couple other cars...just can't say when for sure right now.
