You should also hook up the body ground, that shows disconnected in your pic.

Hey guys. Still working at it. I have been spending my time installing the E fan and headers.

I have been reading about distributors. From what I understand, the three wires are for 12v switched, ground, and tach. Can anyone confirm this? It sounds like if I have it grounded and hooked up to a switched 12v that I don't need to connect the wire. I would like to use the distributor I already have as this project is already costing me a fortune in parts. I'm not cheap, but i don't want to buy parts I don't need so that I can start saving up for paint this winter.

I live in Canada, and so far I can't find any throttle cable / trans kickdown brackets that will work. I have brackets from my 305 that I can modify heavilly to work. Any advice on how to fab them? I know how to cut and weld, i was more wondering about height and distance requirements or anything else I might have overlooked?

Thanks

I should have mentionned, I have a pertronix flame thrower 2 hei setup including matching coil. After reading for what seems like hours, it sounds like I can just hook up a switched 12 to the + side of the coil and then run the red out of the distributor to the + side of the coil and the black wire to the - side of the coil and just ground the negative. Does this sound right?
