You could probally just go to your local parts store and buy stock springs. I ran a .480 lift cam on stock "who knows how many miles" heads and they worked just fine. They started to float at 6500 rpm but how far do you want to take a stock sbc bottom end anyways?
Its good to check with a machine/ speed shop but keep in mind people have been doing this for a long time with out these shops. The 350 I orignally built I did everything in my garage. Besides cam bearings was not cost effictive "no one local loaned the tool" but everything else ridge reaming, honeing, rings etc..... were done in my garage. Just do a lot of reading and you'll. Figure it out. I have faith in you young grasshopper.
