LUCKY MAN!

Yes I am very lucky. Who would have thought a girl like that would hook up with a guy that is over weight, has a fascination with old cars to the point of obsession, is a college student so during 9 months out of the year I hardly have time to see her and is 10 years older than her. When she agreed to help work on the car, including pull the weeds, I knew she was a keeper.

That's what I was thinking...!

While there might be hope it takes a whole lot of looking.

Anyway heading back out to the junk yard today to measure up the rear seat in the GTP to see if it will fit or is large enough to recover the original seat.

Oh and to yank the radiator from a '81 V8 Olds.

Well I finally made it back out to the yard and measured up the back seat. The GTP back seat was about an inch narrower than the stock Cutty back seat. I decided to grab them up and just center them up and find some way to fill the tiny gap that would be left.

So now I need to figure out how to take out the stock back seats and how I'm going to mount this stuff up for in there.

The stock back seat is removed by first taking out the bottom, then unbolting the seat belt inertia reels, then pushing the seat back up and off it's hooks. The bottom comes out by pushing it rearward to unhook it from the two hooks in the floor which hold it in place. Oddly, it is possible to push it too far back and then it will hook on the back end of the hook. It needs to go back about an inch to an inch and a half to come out. So, just push back and up and the bottom will come out. Remember that there is a hook on each side and they need to be done one at a time.

Gotta know your progress on this. A friend recommended finding some grand prix seats for my regal. You got any pics? How hard was it to do? And how did you fill in the gap at back seats? Thanks

I was just curious if you ever got the GP front seats in and what was done to get them in. Anybody else ever get these in? I may look for a pair of these and wanted to see if/how well they fit.
