Hey I got my self a 1978 gmc caballaro and got in an accident. My whole drivers side fender and light assembly got Munched in. Also my front header panel cracked in half. I have replaced my drivers side fender with a 1980 Malibu front fender. Now I was having a hard time finding a header panel but finally found a guy with a 1981 front fenders inner wheel wells and whole header panel and light assemblies. (all attached sold togeather) my question is since I already got that new fender on should I just replace the header panel or will the parts not line up completely? Like will I have to install the whole 81 set up if I want this to work??

Sorry to hear about the accident. Yes the 81 header panel will bolt up, fenders were the same from 78-81.

I think you should also locate a radiator support. If the fender and header got crunched, you may have a challenge getting all the body lines right trying to reuse yours. I have a complete 79 header panel if you'd like to stay original. I may be too far, but I'll offer.
