Hi, I have been away from the automotive hobby for 7 years and just jumped back in with the purchase of a needy 87 Cutlass Salon. I have been the proud owner of a number of cutlasses from 1969 to 1987. 7 years ago I sold my 87 442 out of a lack of time to dedicate to it(just having baby 3 and 4th on the way). at that time and before, parts were plentiful for these magnificent machines. I will be needing good parts resources. as it seems all of the salvage yards I once dearly cherished have been wiped off the face of the earth by instant recycling facility's if anyone knows of good parts sources please let me know. I will post some pics in the near future of some of my past projects and my new one . and i look forward to interacting with as many of you as I can on this forum thank you and its my pleasure to meet all of you. thank you. Ross

Hi Ross. welcome and for parts we usually talk the new guys into parting their cars out..

it's hard out there to find these cars at the wreckers but there's a bunch of good guys on here to help you out plus there are supporting vendors.

Thank you for the welcome, back in the early 90's i worked for one of the largest GM parts dealers in Chicago land i wish I had been smart enough to stockpile parts at cost but no. I actually am going to contact the exhaust sponsor on the forum as the exhaust fell off the Salon i bought today about 1 mile from the sellers house.

Welcome aboard, Ross.

Doug
