Hope I didn't confuse anyone, I was correcting the op, he originally called it a "600 r":

What would you suggest for a rear end if you're putting let's say, 300-400hp because if i do get one of these after about a year i would like to swap in something like a 383 stroker with a turbo 400 or a (i think it's called a 600r, 4 speed auto, can get it out of like an old Chev Astro)

So I was saying he could go with either the 700-R4 or the 200-4R for his swap.

I'll start with my reply to Pontiacgp, shediac is a nice place, saint john is a dump though.

Jae - Doesn't have a center console or the rally gauges, just the speedometer and gas. Headliner in sagging but that's not a big concern to me, easy enough fix, just fixed it in my friends Z28 last weekend. I checked the trunk including pulling out the spare tire and checking in there and there was some minor surface rust but it was solid.
That's a lot of information but will definitely be useful, and thank you for the transmission info, i specified that i wasn't positive on the transmission name for a reason, so at least i didn't seem like a no it all that knows nothing lol.

redsx2434 it does smoke slightly after it's warmed up, turns out it's got a bad head gasket.

Motor issues i'm not too concerned about because i'll probably only get 1 season out of it before i end up pulling the motor, assuming i have the money to build something up.

So the car is solid, little rust around the car but nothing of major and immediate concern, though i do have the plan to fix the little rust there is. But as things go now, if i can't get some major price adjustment on this car i will continue my search, maybe consider the hassle of bringing something up from the states, could be well worth it in the end.

Thank everyone for all their help, i'll be sure to keep you posted, because sooner or later i will definitely have one of these asap.
