Terry,
The sedan and wagon door panels will interchange. The styles will vary slightly, but can be utilized. You can also use the A & B pillars from a sedan in a wagon, and visa versa.

On Malibu Racing about a month ago, there was a super nice, low miles, original '82 Malibu wagon for sale. He was asking $4500. for it, which may seem a bit high, but it's a get in and cruise car. Other than having a V-6 in it, it could be a nice builder while you're actually using the car. No bodywork or paint required.

Dude, if ONLY my budget would allow, I'd be headed up there this weekend. I just don't have that laying around right now. :blam: May have to try to convince the old lady I NEED it. If I could sell my Camaro, that'd help, but no one wants anything to do with it or they want me to give it to them...

Yeah, I figured you had budget constraints...don't we all. I just wanted to put that out there to give you an idea of what can be had. I was tempted to sell my junk and buy that one, but I have too much work in it...and want to see it completed.

There was a member also looking for a wagon a year ago or so. He posted various ads from CL, Ebay, etc, etc. Some were pretty good deals. However, they were spread out in different locations.
I think to this day he never found what he was looking for....probably because it didn't exist.?

Good luck finding the right car at the right price.
BTW, here's a fairly clean '80 wagon. http://www.maliburacing.com/forum/viewt ... 1&t=113755 Just something to give to a price gauge.

Here's one that recently sold. I was a roller, no engine and trans. http://www.maliburacing.com/forum/viewt ... 1&t=114088

You thinking of Matt (wants_a_wagon)?
He was all set to buy my Buick wagon but ran into some health trouble and I ended up selling it to Lue.
He's on the upswing now and gearing up to find another wagon soon...

Patience is key...
I searched for well over two years before finding my Cutlass wagon all the way in Texas.
Then the Buick wagon pretty much fell in my lap locally about a year later lol...

Yes Blake, that's who I was thinking of. I hope he's doing better health wise. He did seem pretty intent on finding a nice wagon. Your Buick was a good score. Lue doesn't mention it much, though. :? That is one clean ride. I really liked that you put the Buick 350 in it, and kept it all Buick. That's what I like to see.

Well, just e-mailed the guy with the yellow wagon again. I can't seem to find anything in that good a shape anywhere else. I've decided that I'm going to use aftermarket gauges, seats, ect so the interior condition and current parts don't matter that much. It's been a rough summer and I've still got the cam swap that needs done on my K5 before I'm ready to start on the wagon. If I can get the cam swap done this month, when it gets cold next month I will be inside the shop moving all my Camaro goodies from the hot rod over to my t-top, minus the motor of course.

I hate to do that to a 99% original 89 RS t-top car, but I can't see all those pieces going to waste sitting like my Dad keeps suggesting or losing my @$$ on them trying to part it out. I can put them on the t-top and make it a little more fun to drive. I've even got some 3.23 gears to replace the 2.73's in it now and I'm going to put some good ceramic coated headers in while I'm swapping over to the exhaust from the Hot Rod. Should make a fun little cruiser when I'm done, even though it will still be a LO3 305 automatic car.
