I have a 83 gr Prix that had a 3800, previous owner dropped a 301 in it. I would like to drop a 350 in it. Are there any glaring issues with such a swap? Can i use the transmission that is currently bolted to the 301? Was going to swap to bucket seats but cant find Brown buckets that would match, shame too cause the seats are in incredibly good shape, just prefer buckets to that bench.

Welcome aboard. If you have a 301 a Pontiac 350 or 400 will drop right in and bolt right up to your B.O.P transmission. I went with a 400 in my Grand Prix. Do Not get rid of your 301 motor mounts! You will need them for your motor swap and they are very hard to find.

Welcome Grumpy, Lots of good info here, We like pictures also.😎
Pics are cool for sure, my GP was in pretty good shape when I got it. Both front fenders were dinged pretty good but about 5 years ago I actually fond some new after market fenders still in the box, other than that just a few dents or dings. So I decided to do my own body work, and paint. I will post pics as it progresses, but not gonna get much paint work done now that winter is here. North Dakota is not garage paint friendly.

I actually found a donor 301 for 50 bucks that came with a tyranny. So I can keep it rolling to I find that bigger pontiac engine. Very happy to know the old tyranny is gonna work. Thanks.
