Just wanted to say hello! I'm on the home stretch of rebuilding a 1980 Malibu from pretty much top to bottom mechanically. Cosmetic will come later but its not to bad considering its a Canadian car. Ive powder coated all control arms, new bushings, tie rods, ball joints, every bushing is poly now. All new suspension front and back. New brakes, front to back, new stainless brake lines. GN 8.5" posi installed with 3.73s New holley electric fuel pump and sending unit. Now I'm just waiting for my sbc 350 to come back from machine shop so i can assemble it. re ground crank, .030 over, flat top pistons, vortec heads, 2.02 valves, studs and guide plates, .490 lift comp cam for it, scorpion rockers, rpm performer intake, 750ec edlebrock carb. 700r4 aluminum rad, its been a 2 year build but I'm close to firing it now. Ill try to post some pics and updates as i go

Welcome to the site from Houston. Cool car! Nice work! I like the Sunbird wheels on it (hopefully I'm identifying them right). Keep the updates coming.

Thanks everyone, I'm from Ontario yes About 1 hr north of Toronto. I'm not sure if they are firebird rims or sunbird or what but they were on it when i got it. I did pick up a cheap set of olds rally rims to get around on until i buy permanent rims. Just picked up my rad and water pump today. Ill try to get some more pics up by the weekend, I'm planning to install the electric fuel pump, almost done fabricating the bracket for it.

so here is my fuel electric fuel pump mounted. It’s directly behind the dif and right in front of the tank. I have a rubber isolator between everything. Plumbing the lines this weekend. Also finally finished all the rear brakes and e brakes too. Moving in to wiring while I still wait for the machine work to be done on the engine. transmission is done. Went with the perf rebuild. Corvette internals, stage 2 shift kit, 2900 stall. Should get the power down nicely. I’ll keep updating as I go 👍
