I live in Benton, about 18 miles away, they are having the Street Machine Nationals there again in June, You hit the nail on the head that about describes So IL to a tee

Nice example of a survivor, I like the Oldsmobile logo added to the hood pad like the GN's.

I lived in Carbondale for school but spent a lot of time with friends in the area, Murphysboro, Anna, Cobden, Pomona, Desoto, Marion, Pinckneyville... not to mention all the parks and winery's.
I miss living there, N.Ill sucks...

Thanks, I will probably leave it all stock,my buddy has a new Mustang and we got to shows together, and he smokes me, and he is getting twin turbos soon, I can't compete with that, stock, LOL! I had to add a new hood blanket, so I always like the GN's had the turbo logo, I though GM forgot to put that on the H/O, I should do like The way GM should have! LOL. I am a SIU Alumni too, I Mountian Bike ride in all those place in the Shawnee National Forest, beauitful country and alot of trails!

That's cool you are from Belleville area, I bought her from a young living in Collinsville, I found it on Craigslist. The original Owner was from Cincinati Ohio and when he worked a Oldsmobile Dealer, It came with a trunk load of GM orginal parts, including a set of gauges, transmission parts, complete decal kit from GMand the service manuals from 1983. bonus gift in the trunk
