Sounds like someone got a good score @ $1500. You might want to be a little more careful where you park this one. I'm sure you'll work it out with your better half.
We recently discussed when a car is too nice, it becomes a magnet for inconsiderate, uncaring *ssh*les. On the other hand, when a car looks like it's been thru hell and back, nobody bothers it. It's like Murphy's Law in a sense.
Well good luck with it, and keep us informed on your progress with the engine swap, etc.

Snagged the heater controls from MonteSS496. Awesome site, fast replies. Now off to the local wrecking yard for the A/C Evaporator. It's cold and wet out there, I really don't want to, but gotta quit being such a p*ssy and get this part installed, then I can roll closer to the finish. On another note, Vertex Magneto or MSD 85551? The parts car-

I also ran across an 84 fullsize wagon (Caprice) I didn't snag any photos, but the car is blue, blue interior, power windows, 4sp.auto, small block, tilt, interior is good, all the trim is good, roof rack and all that junk. I frequent this yard, so if anybody needs any parts off of that one, I can grab and ship. The Monte is pretty well stripped.
Back home, setting the Evaporator and Receiver. I plugged in a 110VAC vacuum pump to test all of my servos while it's easy to find and replace components-

OK, cleaned up the Evaporator, resealed the A/C box, washed all the parts in the sink, with Hot soapy water Yikes! Don't get caught doing this by your wife!! Installed, ready for further detail and maybe front engine accessories.
