New toy 1981 Indy 500 pace car

Fabulous. I've done some hot laps in our '62 Impala SS 409 (the Ned Jarrett Special), but would love to get my G-Body out there, too.

It was a blast to run it at the track. There were so many newer right off the dealer showroom cars running the event. Not as many older ones sadly but I’d much rather drive my 39 year old Indy than a new generic car.

It was a blast. I should have my victory lane photo Monday I paid a extra 10 to have it professionally taken in victory lane after running the laps.

Hit up cars and coffee this morning at Charlotte Motor Speedway and returned the Indy to a race track 39 years later for charity laps. It was a absolute blast to run it on the track at Charlotte.

By coincidence I'm also in Charlotte this weekend. I was at the NASCAR H.O.F. This afternoon. I'm sure it's more fun driving on the track than looking at cars in a museum.

I’ve not been to the museum yet have wanted to go check out the g bodies on glory road. I live in high point about 45 minutes from Charlotte but have been checking out the car events down there lately, will be doing Autofair April 4th and 5th with the Buick and my Typhoon

I recall that car at a local dealership for sale always thought it was over the top.

Thank you this is the only one I’ve seen in person and I know there are others out but there aren’t many with only 150 made I know of maybe 5-10 other cars.

Yeah it was 70 I got up to 75ish in some spots but didn’t push my luck as I want to run the laps again with my Typhoon. Would love to run the Indy and the 82 Grand National once it’s completed one behind the other at one of these events.
