$200 for four 2" adapters + $125 for rims and tires < 4 new tires. Sounds like a deal to me.
1. Make sure the date code is not more than 10 years. Look for an oval near the bead with four digits. First two are the week, second two are the year. As long as they are not dry-rotted, you probably got a deal.
2. The adapters that thick bolt on and come with studs for your rims. These are safer than the spacers, and you don't have to change your wheel studs. Just make sure the studs on the adapters are fully seated - do the star pattern several times, drive gently for a few miles, then check them at least once more.
