Looking for an Olds 260 intake and a pair of non-air pump heads ( without the four holes in them on the manifold flange area. Anybody got any laying around

Olds 260 parts

Roger's Auto Wrecking & Salvage, Lebanon, MO (800) 798-0105 has set heads $70
Snyder Auto Body, Clarinda, IA (800) 541-2264 has intake for $20

There is two late 70's 260s in the salvage yard near me. Where are you at shince shipping could be expensive.

Jamestown NY zip 14701, Fed-ex is pretty good on heavier stuff I ship 9inch gears all the time with them. Let me know what you can do I am having no luck at all locally, G-body cars are all but gone around my area. The 260's were all junked for scrap years ago.

You may way want to consider doing the same. The 260 is, was, and will forever be nothing more than a boat anchor that exists solely to be mocked. Yes, it's that bad.

Haha I'm not looking to make a performance car out of it. It's an 80 Cutlass 442 all original 54,000 miles. Just want another top end to do a valve job on so I can continue to drive the car while I'm doing the work. The 260 is a very smooth motor gets good mileage with 2.29 gears in it, I just use this as a second car to drive to work on nice days. I have raced dirt oval Pro-Stock cars for 16 years now that I am done with that going faster than my neighbor is not a big deal to me. My good friend is a well known race engine builder around here and said it best anybody with a torque wrench can make power with a bid inch motor, it takes brains to do it with a smaller motor. I have read many 260 bashing forums I'm well aware of peoples opinion on these motors.

The last 260 I had a hold of was used for high-power rife penetration tests. I couldn't believe how gutlass of a v8 they were. If you need to just keep it on the road, thats cool. I haven't seen one in the yards around here for years. I would suggest a motor swap in the future.

With what 109? hp rating I would only hope it is gutlass, or it doesn't say much for what people consider quick street cars.

Ill check tomorrow when I go to the yard.
