:bump: Yes ditto, what other options can be considered in staying with the same motor setup? A few questions...Are you running larger injectors than stock? Have you contemplated having your ecm reprogrammed? I am running a rebuilt 350 tbi in my monte for some of the same reasons you are. But now I am thinking of going witha 383 stroker and changing to the aforementioned items (injectors and ecm changes).

I'm quite familiar with TBIchips.com. Brian is kind of a dick. The only advice I didn't follow of his was a better fuel pump. I have a new Delphi pump for a 350 truck, but a higher performance Wahlboro or something similar Im sure would land me more power. What I do have is a machined 46mm TBI, 65lb flow matched cop car injectors, ECM from a 92 c/k 350 with a custom dyno tune. Adjustable FPR, Flo-tec headers and full 2.5 exhaust. I wouldn't recommend putting a 383 on a TBI system. I don't care what Brian says, its not going to work right and you're going to leave tons of power on the table. And possibly run it lean and melt the cylinder walls. The stars, moon and planets would all have to align twice for that setup to work.

If you're interested in modifying your current setup for some more power, I have a Holley 50mm TBI brand new I never installed just sitting around. Or when I remove my current setup I would sell you the whole thing together. GMPP Aluminum Vortec intake with the machined TBI and FPR all installed. It would definitely be a power upgrade from your current setup but a tune would be ideal to go with it.

Yes I am looking into improving on what i have so I will give a look into your setup. Let me know when you have it available. Thanks!

Maybe keep the same setup and get a good cam for efi application. Also, for a reprogram, give http://www.pcmofnc.com a chance. They are good communicating people and I had a good experience with them. They made a chip for my Holley Stealth 406.

I can't even imagine there's 100 h.p. there waiting due to the efi, but there may be some power and a lot of driveability and mpg with the right multiport system. But as others have said, a well tuned tbi can work extremely well. You have to decide if a couple of mpg and possibly a few h.p. are worth the investment to you. The driveability is worth a lot to me, cold starts, etc...But when you start spending a big chunk of money you want to be sure it's going to a good cause.

I've been doing a lot of back n forth over this myself and it seems as though the power gains are negligible. As much as I'd like the EFI for driveability reasons, I rather spend the $2500+ on a built 200-4R, good converter and a well tuned q-jet to improve my gas mileage. If I do ever go EFI it will be multi-port.

MPG's aren't a huge concern for me. It's a summer car. Theres been a lot of naysayers along the way with the project. They said I wouldn't get the performance I thought and so far they are dead on. Low dyno #'s and embarrassing track times. The writing is on the wall, it's the fuel system. GMPP rates the engine at 330hp and I've seen people pull well over that with this motor without much effort. Well see what happens. Just sold my 02' Grand Prix 40th anniversary today! It'll help pay for it.
