I saw on another site that High Performance Pontiac magazine was axed by the new owners, Time-Warner (?). I think about a dozen other titles went down with it. Too bad, there goes the only mag devoted to Pontiacs, and a source of inspiration for me. Just seeing cars like mine on the pages got me going to work on my many stalled projects. I especially liked HPP day at Englishtown's Raceway Park. Lots of show cars and racing just for Pontiacs. We always seemed to meet great people there. What I don't understand is I've had no communication from the mag, and I have several years to go on my subscription. Rumor has it Hot Rod will come in it's place. Great, I already get that anyway. Well, I have almost all issues going back to the Thunder Am days, so I guess they just got valuable?

I think this last one was it. Rocky Rotella said one day the Editor was gone, next day they were all told not to come back. Nice.

I was a subscriber for about 20 years or more and when my last subscription was up last month I chose not to re-subscribe, they kept sending me discount after discount to re-issue, good thing I didn't ! I wasn't enjoying the last few years or so of the magazine. They did too many newer late-model upgrade articles like the new GTO's and 1990-2000 and up Pontiacs which I have no use for. It really is a shame what GM has done to my favorite car brand of all time after 90 years of existence! CarCraft is pretty good for the every day wrencher but too many Chevy articles for me.

Well that SUX! :x I was really enjoying all of historical pieces over the last while. I only had the it for one year and was hoping to re-subscribe. 😢

Don't worry guys I'm sure there will be another Ford or Chevy magazine to take it's place.

That is sad news but it isn's surprising with Pontiac itself having been axed a few years ago.

I just got the Oct issue. I wonder how many are left?

This was some of the sadder news I`ve read about recently. I`ve also been a loyal reader since the ThunderAm days and have almost every issue. Guess I`ll have to join POCI and get Smoke Signals. It`s the last one left.
