Big block heads alone wont help the compression 403's are 83CC big blocks are 80cc.

Plus you will have to get an Edelbrock performer rpm intake and port match it.

i got lucky and the car came with an Edelbrock performer rpm manifold already installed. now i just need to spec out a square bore carb for it as currently it has a qjet from a sbc on it with a really thick gasket on it to act as an adapter.
