whys that? i just had it rebuilt w/ all heavy duty parts, and transgo shift kit.

octane booster

I use it and would recommend it. It definitely works, it helps eliminate any knocking that you get due to advanced timing and cheap gas.

octane booster doesn't really do much on a non computer controlled car unless you have the wrong gas in it or high compression. if you're properly tuned you should be fine.

it works for me!

if higher octane does not help then why do we waste money on premium fuel?? i can notice a differance in performance and milage when i run premium....

who said anything about high octane fuel? this is about octane booster. you use high octane because it ignites slower allowing more advance timing and higher compression. if you use the proper fuel for your engine you don't need booster. unless, of course, you have high enough compression that you need race fuel. if you can't get race fuel then yes, octane booster will help.

84gp455: you said it helps you with cheap gas. i have to ask, why are you using cheap gas.

what i want to know is where anybody has found "cheap" gas, everywhere i have seen is basically bending you over and ram rodding you with a 2x4, actually lately it seems more like a 2x12! my cutty sucks gas and its my daily at the moment so if you know where i can find this "cheap" gas at please inform me!

my point with the premium is that you pay extra to get 91 or 92 octane premium fuel. adding octane booster would be similar to going from 87 to 91..... correct me if i am wrong
