Although not a Gbody, I bought my 1965 Malibu SS in 1979 and still have it. I was A body til I went G!
My 81 Malibu that I have was bought in 97. The 81 still feels like the new kid on the block to me.
Must really be getting old.

I always thought that the 64/65 Chevelles and 78/81 Malibus were the perfect car. Big enough to be comfortable, but not huge, and available with V8 power. Some common design elements between the 2 as well.

You're a lucky fella to own both

64 chevelle Malibu SS is my life long project car parents got it in 77, I used to get picked up from school sometimes so awesome, some day I'll get it all together it took me a few years just to find the original "tall" motor mounts

My wagon has been with me the shortest amount of time at 5 years on Thanksgiving weekend.

But I've had my Cougar since '78 after my Grandfather was the original owner and my T-Bird since '91 off the original owner.

OK I'll open it up to "...since the '90s" I mean even '99 was over 20 years ago.

Too bad I don't have any good pictures of my 80 Cutlass, I've had that one since 1997. And my Grand Prix just misses the mark I bought that in January of 2000.

That's a beautiful '65 Tim!!

So if I'm understanding the rules correctly, and that's a very big "IF", it looks like Elsie qualifies. My uncle ordered her new through JBA Chevrolet on 28 February, 1987 and took delivery on May 2nd. The day he brought her home, I told him that if he ever decided to get rid of her, he had to call me first. So, it took him almost 30 years, but he called. Since then I've been working on making her fun and reliable. Pretty (paint and interior) will come after that.

You can see all the photos from before I bought her through all the work done so far at https://partsbox.fotki.com/our-project-el-camino/.

My car fits the rules, owned it since I was 15 years old, I bought it from my Dad in 1987. It’s in no shape to enter the contest so please don't take this post as an entry! The last and most recent photo I took of it was a few years ago when I pushed her out of the garage to clean her up a bit and start her engine. She had several dead mice and a heavy coat of dust but started right up when I attached a remote gas can to the fuel pump. The other is an old photo I scanned from back in my high school days.
