I wound up going with the NPD paint, It's been too cold to try it out but the color came back as Dark Camel Tan, part #c-vp9565 for a 1978-80 Camaro. Hopefully it will be pretty close. It's made by SEM, Universal Color Coat flexible coating. Says it changes or renews color on most plastics, carpet, vinyl & velour. We shall see.

As far as the guy being in jail, I have no idea.

The paint came in and I gave it a shot. It came out pretty good and the color seems legit.

Important word of advice.. use an adhesion promoter before you put the color on. Prep is THE most important step !!! Ive sprayed quite a few interior parts and I can tell you that SEM makes everything you need for the job to come out perfect. I just did a complete interior for a friend of mines 79 Camaro. It came out like factory new. Do not skimp on the prep !!!!!!
