Whats up guys, been a few years since ive been on here but im glad to be back for all the help, so here is my predicament, got my oil pan dropped the whole front of the engine off and the motor raised and sitting on wood, and I cannot get my oil pan out, its hitting on the flywheel and I cant figure out how the hell to get it off, any help would be much appreciated, I havent been able to find any info online so ive been relying on a haynes manual with not much help cuz it seems like such an easy process but has to be difficult for my *ss...everytime

And I cant figure out how to upload pics from my phone

Its a 1986 cutlass supreme

Could try taking out the driveshaft, putting a jack under the transmission to hold it and unbolt it from the cross member and see how high you can go with it until it hits the tunnel in the floor. That might give you enough clearace. You might not even have to take the drive shaft out if you only need a little bit of room..

So you say that you have both motor mounts disconnected and the engine jacked up? I've done this a couple of times on my first GN years ago and don't recall there being much of an issue. Seems I got the front end of the pan angled upwards and pushed as close to the block as possible and it was enough to sneak the rear of the pan rail past the flex plate.
