What type of oil pan is required to install a 350 into a 85 Olds? Does the dipstick need to be on the passenger side or drivers side? I was planning on using a third gen camaro Pan but want to make sure it fits before I order one. Thanks

what side the dipstick is on depends on what year the motor is. Just get a stock pan for the year motor you have. Theres 3 different pans. A pre 80' which will be drivers side dipstick. 80 to 85 which is passengers side dipstick and 86 up which is passenger side dip stick, 1 piece real main seal engine. Just needs to be a standard sbc oil pan not the one for chev II's (box Nova's).

Wow, reading this thread just reminded me of why I got into g-bodies in the first place.

oil pans

I used to run a SBC powered monza. If any of you have had one you know what I'm talking about lol.
