Is this what you are asking?...

I have a rebuilt 455 (Buick? Olds? Pontiac?). The oil pressure at the port right above the oil filter is 42-45 psi at idle. Looking through a hole in the valve cover, I don't see as much oil as i would think should be there. No oil stream flowing -- just small puddles. That's it. I'm thinking i might need an adjustable spring for the pressure reg that's in it. But 42 psi should be plenty to get a decent flow, don't you think ? Looking forward to your thoughts.
Thanks, ruddog

If you're asking if your oil pressure is ok...45 psi @ idle...Yes, that's plenty & I wouldn't worry about it
