Coming home tonight, the oil/choke light on. Pulled over immediately and shut off the car, like 30 seconds after it came on. Got out and in just the 1 minute I was pulled off, there was a lake of oil under the engine. Looks to be coming from around the oil pump. Hopefully nothing serious is screwed up. Couldn't exactly pinpoint the leak as the sun was almost completely gone. So I had to call my dad to come tow me home. And now the car is back home.

Soooo...we shall see exactly what happened tomorrow

FIXED! Installed a sunpro oil pressure gauge and it works flawlessly, shows almost 70 psi cold and 45 warmed up. Will eventually install a tee so I can have my idiot light and gauge 😀

What was the problem?.

Roger.

Oops, forgot the write what was wrong, didn't I? The sender for the oil pressure light blew out. It was the original, so I'm not surprised it did, especially with the high volume mellings pump on there.

I've never had one blow apart on me. Had a few leak, but never a failure like that on any number of makes and models.

Roger.

It made quite a mess. The underbody is ready for winter now 8) Good thing roads don't get salted here in the winter
