I want to use this car to teach my son all I can about how things go together and come apart. I have some skills but have been a Lincoln man my whole life. But this car has many more after market possibilities and is more manageable for him. I am thinking Pro Mod with a 400 to 500 HP engine, Coil overs, some kind of anti hop, 4 wheel disks, frame stiffeners front and mid section, I like tremeck 5 speed but am open, I don't know much about rear ends ,axles, drive shafts, front suspension, cooling, cooling, turbos I am open to all advice and direction. I know that there will be different opinions and offers so please do no be upset if i take a different route from your map. I appreciate all help Mean time We live in Fountain Hills, AZ. so if any on is close give me a email. buzz. at [email protected] Nice to meet you all

best bet would be to drop in an rb25det and turn up the boost
I could think of 100 better "best bets" than a freaking Nissan engine.

A best bet would probably either be the classic small block Chevy or an LS swap. That would be way cheaper, easier to fit and make work than a j* engine.

I wondered what that was. I agree. I've had enough trouble in my time getting old school SBC motor mount bolts slid through, never mind fabbing something from scratch.

first thing I would do is change all the body mount and suspension bushings and box the frame. I always like to make sure I have a good platfom to add some power and handling upgrades

Welcome aboard! We'd love to see some pics of your wagon. Sounds like a nice example. Also sounds like you have some cool plans for it.
