I think you're right. The Appliance are open in the small triangles at the rim. Superior you posted are solid.
 
I have no idea what they are but they look sweet!

Nope, but that's a plus when comes to getting things dirt cheap. People that don't know what they have usually don't want much.

I recall seeing these on 70's Vettes for some reason. They're surely from the "appliance wheel era" though. I did a half assed search of cross lace, mesh, snowflake, etc and didn't come up with much. I was in a hurry so I wasn't very thorough about it.

I know they aren't factory wheels.
 
The Appliance Wire Mag started the trend then there were a bunch of others.
 
Guys, they look to me to be like the 90's GTA firebird wheels, but those were only in 16 inch. Well if I remember right anyways, I may be wrong.

These have an angle in the center unlike TA rims.
