The cutlass i just bought has a complete exhaust (headers). I am putting a chevy 383 in this car, will the exsisting headers bolt up or will i need others thanks

Nope, they won't fit. Two completely different engines.

Now if you were keeping it Olds powered, it would work fine.

the headers fit great - the Cheby not so much

Agreed with 2 above.

thanks for the comments, but i can't afford to build a high hp olds....anyone need some headers!?! 🙂

They don't cost that much...

I would consider a built 455 down the road, but all i have is a steve schmidt chevy 383 right now...anybody have any guesses on 1/4 mile times with about 450 to 500hp, 275-60's and 4.11's.....any guess would be ok

Most chebbie guys call me a liar when I say I have under 2 grand in an almost brand new olds build. All that got reused was the block and piston/con rods. I figure what I spent over the costs of a similar built chevy. Would have went into more machine work and parts needed to change things over, but I more than make up for lack the acme brand engine with cool points. I always laugh when i hear acme engines are cheaper.
