307 Olds? What year is the engine? if your tossing headers on a post 84' 307 your wasting your time... the exhaust ports are tiny..

theres a few companies that make headers with 1 5/8 primaries..

You can't get full length headers smaller than 1 3/4" for Olds v8 g bodies. You can get full length a body headers in 1 5/8" but only for A bodies :x , way different. If he doesn't mind spending a few more dollars get the 1 5/8" Sanderson shorty headers, thick 3/8" flange and 16 gauge tubing. He needs the rear dumping style not the center dump models. They fit with tons of room in a g body. Century performance is cheaper than Sanderson's site(bought my rear style ones there) and a guy on ebay sells Sanderson headers(got my center dumps there). The one's on ebay go for around $350 ceramic coated(very good price), see if he can get rear dumping ones.

I bought a set of Dynomax headers for my 442's 307 back in the day, they fit great, really woke the motor up when combined with the true dual exhaust, and were only $104... Probably more now though, as that was 7 years ago...
