Hi everyone. I am going to attempt and engine swap on my 1990 lesabre estate wagon. (its not a g body but I was hoping someone here would still know about the swap) Like the title says it has the olds 307 with the computer controlled q-jet, and 200R4 trans. I plan on swapping a chevy 350 into the car and had a couple questions and was wondering if anyone could help answer?

Does anyone know if the 307 computer controlled distributor could possibly be used in a 350? If not is there a chevy (perhaps monte carlo) CC distributor that can be used with the 307 computer system?

If anyone else has ANY useful info regarding this swap please let me know!

Thanks a lot

Not sure. My GUESS is that they are not compatible. I could be wrong, but I think the connectors, wire colors and EEC are all different. If you don't mind me asking, what do you need the Olds computer for? Couldn't you get all the SBC computer stuff you need at a junkyard?

Distributor won't work. Besides the fact that an Olds engine shares virtually nothing with a Chevy, the Olds distributor spins counter clockwise where as a Chevy spins clockwise.
