Well I'm trying to hunt down a set of 350 heads as well the machinist says he's got a core set for me. I just had him punch it out 30 over and he's going to run through the rest of it. My over all goal is to get 400hp to the ground, or at least try to. I've got a th350 and a 3.73 so it should hold. I'm just exploring different ideas to make it happen. I mean there's a video on YouTube where a guy stroked a 403 to a 422 and made huge numbers with the 403. Somewhere around 540hp or so. I'm not trying to do that exactly, not that I'd complain if I did..I mean c'mon. That'd make an 86 cutlass move pretty good haha.

Yeah new heads would be nice on my 350 sbo too. 😀
But I'm really looking for a Holley Street Dominator part number 300-16 for sbo. Hopefully this summer.

Ported aluminum heads and a big roller cam with more cubes is the reason for big power in that 421. Get 2.07/1.71 valves and a lot of bowl work.

I bet that thing screams.

J&S machine did that one, also over 500 ft/lbs of torque. When mine gets done, thinking M&J street ported Pro comps, milled .100 and probably a roller cam to boot. It might take years to finish but so be it. I should be able to shave a second in the 1/8 off my best time with the 7.9 to 1 350. Jumping a point and a half in compression plus gaining maybe 40-50 cfm each side with valve springs that won't float should make a huge difference. I will have find a fool proof method to adjust valves, it has been a long time since I have done that.

Thats what I got on my engine. Why do you want that intake when you can get the Edelbrock Victor Jr now? Id rather have the Victor Jr.

Unless Olds just realeased the Vic Jr, it is the high rpm Victor. The Street Dominator is supposed to be a nice, streetable single plane. The RPM is no doubt better from top to bottom.

Pulled out the Edelbrock book. Your right it is only the Victor and not the Jr.

I do like the Street Dominator. I was able to port match to the Edelbrock heads and it has great torque and top end.

I have an extra, very nice 330 crank and matching flywheel I need to get rid of if your interested. Also comes with the factory harmonic balancer. The crank is is .std/.std untouched and is VERY clean. I'm not trying to get rich on it....just need to make some room. Send me a PM if anyone is interested.

I had the Street Dom before on a Olds and a Street Dom Z manifold for my Chevy. It had great torque and even though it only advertised 1500-6500 rpm, the Street Dom would climb to 7500 rpm too easy on the sbc. And I did it with a 800 cfm Qjet! My '72 Olds would never catch traction and would go sideways. I shoulda took the intake before I sold it. I want another one.
