It's the same crank. All Olds small block cranks are the same, except the diesel. Stock, the 330 crank can use all but the balancer and flywheel off the 403. if you stroke it, you'll have to use chevy 6 inch rods.

So it's the connecting rods that make the difference and the crank is just preferred because it'sa better steel? Basically what I'm asking is if I use chevy connecting rods with the 403 crank it'd make the same stroke as using a 330 crank?
The 330 sbo crank is the ONLY forged steel small block Olds crank available. Other cranks can be offset ground but, they will not be as strong as the 330 crank.
